Houstr has introduced a fantastic feature that allows you to link your Amazon Affiliate account with your Houstr account, enabling you to earn 100% of the commissions driven by Amazon. This is something you’ll want to take advantage of considering that Amazon is the largest online retailer in the US, and with Houstr you can get paid on the full purchase after a visitor clicks on your link.
Note: If you already have an Amazon Associates Account, you can skip to Step 5.
Step 1) Visit Amazon.com Associates Central and click “Sign Up.” Click on “Create your Account” and follow the prompts.
Step 2) Once on the Website and Mobile App List, you will need to enter the link to each one of your Guest Stores. Check the “No” option and click “Confirm.”
Step 3) Choose your preferred Associates Store ID. This will not be publicly available.
IMPORTANT: Copy and paste the following into the second box. “As a short-term rental host, I curate and share products from my property with my guests. I create content featuring Amazon items and other home essentials found within my rental space. My goal is to enhance my guests’ experience and provide them with an easy way to purchase items they enjoy during their stay.”
Lastly, choose “Content or Niche Website” as your website type.
Step 4) You’ve completed your Amazon Affiliate account set up! Copy your Amazon Affiliate ID.
Next, open a new browser tab and login to your Houstr account.
Step 5) Once logged in, click on the “Profile” button in the dropdown menu and copy and paste your affiliate ID into the “Amazon Affiliate ID” field. Be sure to click “Save” once complete.
